Florida Man RP · Law Enforcement Recruitment

WEAR THE BADGE.
CARRY THE SCENE.

LEO at FMRP isn't a faction you join to win — it's a role you take on to make every scene on the server better. Read this page fully before you apply. It tells you exactly how our law enforcement works, what we value, and what happens after you hit submit.

How LEO Works Here

Law enforcement at FMRP exists for one purpose: to create exceptional roleplay. We operate as one unified division — no competing departments, no separate command staffs, no department politics. Whether you patrol as Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Florida Highway Patrol, Clearwater PD, St. Petersburg PD, or a specialty unit, you're all one team. Patrol where you want, when you want, with access to the vehicles that fit your roleplay.

Our rank structure intentionally stops at Sergeant — there's no ladder to climb and no leadership reshuffling the division every few months. A small group of experienced Road Supervisors exists to mentor officers, assist scenes, and keep quality roleplay moving, not to micromanage how you police. We aren't simulating climbing a police department ladder — we're simulating being a police officer.

🎬 Scene over wins

An arrest isn't a victory and a getaway isn't a loss. Your job is to be the other half of a great scene — give it room to breathe, escalate believably, and let stories play out.

⚖️ Florida law, played straight

We RP real procedure: reasonable suspicion vs. probable cause, lawful searches, Miranda, Baker Act. You don't need a law degree — you need to care about getting it right.

🤝 Trust over bureaucracy

Purposeful automation runs the paperwork — CAD, dispatch, unit status, even unmarked vehicle credits. In exchange, those freedoms rely on your professionalism and integrity, not constant supervision.

🧊 Professional under pressure

People will test you — in city and out. De-escalate first, stay composed in heated scenes, and leave the drama at the door. The badge means the standard is higher for you.

The Road to the Badge

Every step below is automated — roles switch and tickets open on their own. You never have to chase staff for your next step.

📝

1 · Apply

About 20–30 minutes. Your basics (Discord name, age, timezone, FL residency, playtime) are pulled in automatically from your whitelist application and the server database — the application itself focuses on your LEO experience, a scene of your own creation, and your approach to policing. 5 · The Academy

The Cadet role unlocks the LEO track at onboarding.floridamanrp.com. You'll complete LE 101, LE 102, and LE 103 — FMRP LEO Feature & Setup. The academy emphasizes legal knowledge, communication, officer discretion, and sound decision-making — not memorizing endless policies. Finishing the coursework puts the majority of your training behind you; from there you move into the in-game portion — the fun part — and ride-alongs follow. Plan for a few evenings of coursework; it's in-depth on purpose.
